📍 Perugia, ItalyđŸ—“ïž 26–27 March 2025

We recently wrapped up a productive and inspiring MORE-CETP project meeting in the beautiful city of Perugia, Italy. The two-day gathering brought together project partners from across Europe to align on progress, explore key technical challenges, and plan for the next phases of the project.

A warm thank you to our hosts Giacomo and Federico from VGA S.r.l., as well as all participants for their energy, insights, and contributions!

Day 1: Strategy, Testing Plans & Collaboration

Our first day was held at Hotel GiĂČ, where we began with a comprehensive review of the project status and upcoming deliverables.

đŸ”č Highlights included:

  • Updates on WP2, including the outcomes of Deliverable D2.2

  • A focused session on the status of the SSMD and LSMD rigs, key components in our multi-degradation testing strategy

  • A lively session on workflow harmonization for testing procedures, led by partners from SINTEF, NTNU, and VGA

  • Small-group and plenary discussions with industry partners (Servi, Seal, Wavepiston, CorPower) to align on materials and coatings focus areas

The day ended with a lovely social dinner, where conversations continued informally over Umbrian food and wine. đŸ·

Day 2: Industry Insights and Technical Deep-Dives

Day two took us to VGA’s facilities in Deruta, where we kicked off Work Package 5—focused on data collection, material impact assessment, and recommended practices across the material lifecycle.

We also toured VGA’s impressive workshop facilities, and held deep-dive sessions on:

  • Communication and dissemination strategies (WP6)

  • CETP coordination and future planning (WP7)

  • A collaborative wrap-up to shape the agenda for upcoming physical meetings

Looking Ahead

The Perugia meeting not only clarified technical next steps—it also reinforced the strong collaborative spirit of the MORE-CETP consortium. With new tools, updated test plans, and cross-sector input from both renewables and traditional industries, we’re well-positioned to continue advancing realistic, harmonized qualification testing for offshore materials and coatings.

Grazie mille to all participants! See you at the next meeting!
